Pari Saikia, an independent human rights journalist based in New Delhi, India, has been honored with the European Commission's Lorenzo Natali Media Prize in 2021 for her investigative report on the trafficking of Rohingya women. In a groundbreaking effort to raise awareness and combat human trafficking, she has collaborated with YouTube and the Google News Initiative to launch Asia’s first news channel dedicated to human trafficking issues.
