UN Commission Urges Israel to Address Root Causes of Conflict and Comply with ICJ Advisory Opinion
The UN Commission calls on the Israeli government to adhere to the July 2024 Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice by ending the unlawful occupation of Palestinian territory, halting new settlement activities, evacuating settlers, and providing reparations to victims. Additionally, it emphasises the need to comply with provisional measures to prevent acts defined in the Genocide Convention. The UN report will be presented at the General Assembly’s 79th session on October 30, 2024, in New York.
